A Slice of History
Founded in 1870 by Michele Condurro, a member of a family of master pizza makers, this pizzeria is one of the oldest in Naples. Michele and his descendants have dedicated their lives to preserving the art of traditional Neapolitan pizza, following techniques and recipes handed down through generations.
In 1930, the pizzeria moved to its current location on Via Cesare Sersale, where it still stands today, mostly unchanged. The family’s philosophy has always been centered around quality, authenticity, and simplicity — values that have made Da Michele a symbol of Naples and its deep pizza-making heritage.
The Condurro family continues to run the pizzeria, ensuring that every pizza is made with the same passion and precision as in Michele's time. The dough undergoes a long fermentation process, and only the finest ingredients are used — from San Marzano tomatoes to mozzarella fior di latte and cold-pressed olive oil.
The Menu: Pure Tradition
At Da Michele, the menu reflects the pizzeria’s devotion to authenticity:
Pizza Margherita – tomato, mozzarella, and fresh basil
Pizza Marinara – tomato, garlic, oregano, and extra virgin olive oil
